DNF in Bern!

I have no good news from Bern. My body shut down completely in the heat and I was suffering big time! Halfway through the race I decided it was best to pull out. I hate to do that but to push my body over the limit at this time is maybe not to smart. I went from our 20 degrees at home in Sweden to circa 30 here in Swizerland to even hotter in Italy upcoming week. I will do a heat champ in Massa Marittma next week together with Alexandra Engen, Rothaus-Cube and our coach from the Olympic Committee. After that we fly to Israel for the European Champs.

I be back!

9th in Albstadt!

I finished 9th in a super muddy race in Albstadt yesterday. I knew it was going to be a hard race already before when I saw that the course went from fast rolling to slippery. My mud skills are normally really good but now I really have problems steering my bike in the technical sections even when it´s dry. Knowing that I decided to make my own race and not take any big risks. I was riding steady at 9th place about the whole race. I am glad that I came through the race without crashing and I really look forward to get back into mtb-mode again.

Also very happy to be back at racing with my team again. Henk Jaap Moorlag is flying and finished 6th. Impressive result by him! The atmosphere is super and we are all looking forward to next race!

I am now travelling home to Sweden and my next race will be in Bern in a couple of weeks.

1st in Bundesliga sprintrace!

I managed to get the win in todays Bundesliga sprint. I said already yesterday that I go for the win and so I did. I tried to be in front of the race and I made the right decisions and we got away in a group of 3 riders after four of eight laps. We worked together and I outsprinted Moritz Milatz and Nicola Rohrbach for the win.

A win is a win but tomorrow is another day. We will have a hard race at the XC-course of Albstadt. I will give my best!

As for the feeling of my hand it´s getting better, but I am still having problems in the technical sections. The fingertip feeling that I normally have is more or less gone and I struggle to get the normal feeling of the bike. I am sure it will comeback but at the moment it feels a bit far away. I take each day as a new day and I am really looking forward to race the rest of the year.

All for now, more when I get back to home next week.
