Had a solid race today and finished 18th. A slipper course and a crazy start made it tricky to advance from my 47th starting position. I had good legs and spirit riding around 15th position. My body is not 100% full of energy yet since the stomach problems last week and I suffered really hard the last 3 laps. Backed down a bit in speed and managed to keep the cramps from getting worse.

Next up will be World Cup in Val di sole next week. Then back home.

Congrats to Magnus Darvell, Team Kalas who rode a very strong race.

I will now focus on trying to get my body healthy and strong again. I hope for better days soon!

I have been eating ok since wednesday evening and the power is starting to get back. 4 days with just a small amount of food is not what I wanted.

I will try to load up as much energy as possible for tomorows race. The forcast says a lot of rain…

We didn´t repeat the 1st place from last years Team Relay at the European Champs. I was racing the first lap and had a good race. I got tangled up behind Germanys rider and lost contact with Switzerland and Italy. I was riding about 5-10sek behind them for the rest of the race.

I had a rather hard crash in training yesterday and I am looking forward to a relaxed day tomorrow to try to recover a sore leg.

The course is super fun, but really slippery, I guess most guys have been crashing in training. The heat is huge and we have about 98% of sun during the lap. The organizers have put up special showers along the course to be able to chill yourself during the race.

It will be a hard one on friday!

Cheers/ E

Halfway through the race I decided it was best to pull out. I hate to do that but to push my body over the limit at this time is maybe not to smart. I went from our 20 degrees at home in Sweden to circa 30 here in Swizerland to even hotter in Italy upcoming week. I will do a heat champ in Massa Marittma next week together with Alexandra Engen, Rothaus-Cube and our coach from the Olympic Committee. After that we fly to Israel for the European Champs.

I finished 9th in a super muddy race in Albstadt yesterday. I knew it was going to be a hard race already before when I saw that the course went from fast rolling to slippery. My mud skills are normally really good but now I really have problems steering my bike in the technical sections even when it´s dry. Knowing that I decided to make my own race and not take any big risks. I was riding steady at 9th place about the whole race. I am glad that I came through the race without crashing and I really look forward to get back into mtb-mode again.

Also very happy to be back at racing with my team again. Henk Jaap Moorlag is flying and finished 6th. Impressive result by him! The atmosphere is super and we are all looking forward to next race!

I am now travelling home to Sweden and my next race will be in Bern in a couple of weeks.

I managed to get the win in todays Bundesliga sprint. I said already yesterday that I go for the win and so I did. I tried to be in front of the race and I made the right decisions and we got away in a group of 3 riders after four of eight laps. We worked together and I outsprinted Moritz Milatz and Nicola Rohrbach for the win.

A win is a win but tomorrow is another day. We will have a hard race at the XC-course of Albstadt. I will give my best!

As for the feeling of my hand it´s getting better, but I am still having problems in the technical sections. The fingertip feeling that I normally have is more or less gone and I struggle to get the normal feeling of the bike. I am sure it will comeback but at the moment it feels a bit far away. I take each day as a new day and I am really looking forward to race the rest of the year.

All for now, more when I get back to home next week.

I went into the race without real expectations on my self when I haven´t race a proper race since Dalby Forest in the end of april. It turned out to be better power in my body then I thought and I finished 5th, 5th and 4th witch led to a 4th in the overall. I had ok legs but they missed a lot of race speed. I got into the racing pretty good and my hand was ok. It´s holding me back a lot in the technical sections and I still have pain in it. I guess it will take a long time before it´s back to normal again =(

I was super motivated to make a ggod result in Houffalize and as the rain poured down I was confident for a good race. I started great and was after the first hill about 5th and a super feeling. I missjudged a corner and so did the rider in front of me wich made us both crash hard. I was fast up on my bike again but my right hand was not working as it should, with 3 fingers that basically didn`t work anymore. I continued one more lap but not having the ability to steer or brake made me to pull out of the race in 12th position.

I am now at Dusseldorf airport on my way back home to Sweden, sad that the race went like it did but happy to say that X-rays says that nothing is broken. Just bruised and stretched out ligaments. I am more motivated than ever to come back in a couple of weeks in top shape again!

All for now/ E
