Back to work!

I have had a few days without biking and I am ready to get back into normal life again. I had two days of doing nothing and just enjoying life at home. Me and Anna had a relaxed evening in the city of SAAB, Trollhättan yesterday and today I was on the bike 1,5hours around the lake we have just outside our house.

I am feeling rested and I am really looking forward to the rest of the season. I will have a few more days at home before travelling to European Champs in Slovakia in the beginning of august. That will be the start of a long and har period of racing. Can´t wait!!!

Sune is growing like crazy, he understands so much now and we are having such a great time together.

He is soon a biker as well =)

GOLD!

At home and still a lot to do before bedtime, but it´s all worth it. I won todays XC Camps in Borås!!!

I warmed up my jet lagged legs wednesday by winning the MTB Time Trial Champs by a margin of 27sec to Magnus Darvell, Team Kalas. Yes, we do have timetrial at our nationals. Something we always had but now looking to be changed to sprint instead.

Todays race was a controlled race from my side. Lady luck was on my side and the whole frontgroup got tangelled up into the first singletrail. I was in the front alone after just 2min of racing and thought I give it a go and see what happends. From that moment I rode alone in the front taking about 30sec each lap on the chasers. I had full controll and I could ride safe and smart. I finished a but muddy, due to heavy rain last 30min… I was 2.05 before Magnus Darvell, Team Kalas.

I am really happy about the win. Finally an ELITE XC gold medal. I have won every category since about 12 years old and now I have won all you can do in Sweden more or less.

A huge thanks to sponsors and my team, you rock! Also thanks to all my fans out there. You make things easier!

Biggest thanks to my family who always support me 100%. Without you all it would be hard.

Now out to clean up the car and bike. Tomorrow time for a Team Relay together with my swedish club Alingsås Sports Club. We have a great team to the start and I will do my very best to help us to take another medal to the club.

Cheers/ Emil

I never thought I would’ve say that I am happy about a 49th Place, but today I am. Monday I was thinking that I could not even race. I was doing my own race today, riding a steady pace. I was riding in about 35 at the second lap when I had a flat tyre in the back. I am hoping my body responds well and that I Can recover fully for nationals next week. Ciao
