Lying on the sofa at team manager Leos house. I raced nextdoor to his house today in Groesbeek. A class 2 race and a few good Dutch riders on a fast course. I rode a tactical race and won ahead of Irjan Luttenberg and Team mate Niels Wubben.
I enjoyed the ok form I have and felt good the whole race. On these kind of courses you have to pick out your roadie brain and play the cards in a differant way than most other races. I felt confident and I had a good strategy.
Now a night of rest, then flight to US tomorrow. Worldcuptime!

Just home after a couple of days in Norway. We drove there friday to take part in two UCI cat. 2 races. The drive was just about 300kms and when arriving it was raining big time. I did a few laps on the course in more then wet conditions and I was really looking forward to race. For those who doesn´t know, I like rain =)
Saturdays race in Konnerud, became a two man show. Myself and Ola Kjören, Team focus danica took the lead and I could shake him of going out on the 3rd round out of 6. I was ridning, running and skidding around the course in a way that would make all the enduro riders impressed. I took the win after about 1h40min with a bike more then covered in mud. I actually had zero brakes last lap and was breaking on the metal… Ola was about 40 sec behind.
After trying to bring the bike to life again I rode Svelvik GP today. Both these races are part of the National series in Norway and most of the best scandinavians took the chance to gain some important UCI points. It was a really fun course with some challenging tecnical stuff and some power sections. It was wet also today but more ridable and fun riding. Ola attacked in the first tecnical section and I made a few misstakes, leaving me a few sec behind. I closed the gap about midway throu first lap and attacked hard directly. I didn´t get a gap big enough and we rode first lap together. On the second lap I managed to distance him with about 15sec and from that point I could ride a safe race, winning by about 40sec.
My feeling is better and better and I am looking forward to travel down europe racing in Netherlands next week before flying to the US for world cup action. It feels like I am starting to get control over the astma and I can really push the pedals hard again.
Now I´m more then tired, barely seeing the letters on the computer…

I am enjoying my days at home and training is going really good. Today I took part in a local MTB race and had great fun in the mud. I won and got some extra cash which is never bad =)
Vårgårda CK had made one hell of a nice MTB track and it was quite a few starters during the day. Great to see that Swedish MTB is alive with kids and parents racing at the same day. They also have ther own camper village at more or less every race. Thats motocross style. Cool!
Sune has had 40 degrees fewer a few days but now back playing again. He is growing so fast at the moment and starting to understand most of what we try to tell him. Super!
Upcomming days will be filled of training and relaxing at home, all to prepare for next block of racing.
Cheers/ E
