Travelled to Germany yesterday. I had a super morning at home before Anna and Sune took me to the airport. Before taking of I had a few “running sessions” with Sune around the airport. I guess those made my legs a bit ready for todays sprint race here in Saalhausen.
I qualified 2nd in my heat and I had a good run in the finals. I missed a little on the first lap and was riding in 3rd before I got some good speed and went up to 2nd. Thomas Litcher, who won the race was to far ahead of me but I tried to case him down. Didn´t have enough power to win today, but second place is super, after a couple of weeks below the ice…
I hope for good sensations tomorrow at the XC race. I don´t put any pressure on my self. I just ride and see how my body feels. Hopefully good!

Since last time I wrote things has been rather easy. I still have some problems breathing 100% but it´s getting better. The first few days at home were terrible. I had a really hard time getting air down my lungs and I consulted a few doctors to solve the problem. I am now on medication since a few days and it´s getting a lot better.
My mum has always been astmatic and she has told be several times to check if I also have the same, but I have felt that I am OK most of the time. I always suffer this time of the year but it feels like it´s getting worse by the years. It´s strange but I go from feeling strong very bad over a night and this year it came around the 12th of April. I am going to do some further tests and then we see what will happend.
I still feel ok in low heart rate so I keep fit by doing some lower intensety training. It´s only when I really give it gas I feel my throut getting thin as a straw.
Soon back to racing again, but at the moment I try to relax and not stress to much. I know it will all feel good again and I think it´s going to be the same way around, over a night or so.
Cheers/ E
I spent last week together with Fabian at our sports director Leos house. We had a few good trainingdays and I felt really relaxed and ready for the race in Houffalize. I had a good feeling in my body when I lined up for the start yesterday. I was ready to rock and I made my way up into the front group up the start climb. When pushing a little into the red zone my breathing got worse and worse ans I had only one speed. Legs are working as they should but have to sort out the breathing problem. I even got “sleeping” feet during the race. Not normal…
I will stay at home in Sweden 12 days and do my very best to be in shape for next period of racing.
Cheers/ Emil
