Not my day at all today at the first worldcup of the year. I had no power in my legs and suffered from the start.
I miss some speed and the snap in the legs and that is all it takes to be far down the field on a worldcup. I ended up in 58th place.
I am looking forward, and by that trying to get more energy and speed before next race in Houffalize, Belgium next weekend.
I be back!
Time fly and I am lying in bed in the city of Pietermarizburg, South Africa. I raced in Munsingen, Germany this weekend. Saturday it was a sprintrace in which I was pretty bad. I gave it a go for real but made a few misstakes and missed out already in the qualify… I am normally a pretty good sprinter but not that day.
In the XC race the day after I started good and was in the frontgroup a couple of laps but I was suffering a lot. I couldn´t hold their tempo and found myself in no mans land for a lap or two before getting company by a few other riders. Not any super legs during the race but managed an ok 10th place despite cramps already early.
I felt a lot better waking up on monday morning and after some travelling I am now happy and ready for bed. Tomorrow a longer ride including the course and then racing the first worldcup of the year on saturday.
Cheers/ E
Sitting in the sofa and enjoying life. We have a great time at home and today I had a super ride in even better weather. Springtime is great at home and I really get extra energy from the sunshine.
After riding and a late lunch, I´ve been laying on the floor playing around with Sune. He is super fun now, climbing up and down the sofa, trying to play at the computer etc. It´s perfect!
Still about 1,5 week at home before Bundesliga in Musningen and then South Africa and the first World Cup.
Yeehaaa!
