Rinding the CX worlds was one hell of an adventure. All the people that come to cheer on the riders makes the whole thing to a race to remember. Incredible feeling!
Starting from mor or less last position is not that fun, especially when you enter the first corner with full trottle and no brakes… I worked my way up to about 35th after a lap and then got my self up to 26th in the end. The race was solid and I was happy to keep a quite good speed during the whole race. Crazy fast cornering and I donĀ“t feel 100% on the cx-bike to let it roll without adjusting the speed by braking.
You never know if I maybe do some more serious CX-racing in the future =) But for upcoming years I am 100% focused on MTB. They are talking about discbrakes though, then we are talking…
I am now travelling back home for a few weeks before the MTB season starts. Looking forward to some MTBking.
Thanks for all the cheering, you rock!
Ps. Probably the only rider riding with an MTB helmet today, including the “peak”. Thats my signum, just so you know =)

In St Wendel since a few days. Last days of training camp were perfect and we had really nice riding. I think we all got home with tired legs and a smile on our faces. Working with Oscar Saiz is a real boost for the riding skills and I enjoy it big time.
I have had a few days to get back into CX-mode and I hope I can do something good tomorrow. I have a great support from the National Team and Rabobank-Giant Offroad who has put me on the finest of material there is to get in CX-racing. The bikes are great!
The course is pretty tricky at the moment, frozen with a thin layer of slippery mud on top.
I am starting in the last row and it will be a difficult task to pass riders but I am looking forward to the challange. We see tomorrow night how it all went.
The youngsters in my team did a super ride today and finished first and second in the U23. Really inpressed by their riding!!!

Things are going good here in Barcelona. I was down for one day in the beginning of the week with what I thought sickness of some kind but it turned out to be an “overheated” engine =) Back training again after a day of and it feels good! I tend to get stronger and stronger every day at camps and I feel great. We are a super group of people.
Today we enjoyed some proper mtb riding with www.oscarsaiz.com and it was as always perfect. Next up will be a few days in the woods before some more kms on the road. Then of to St Wendel, Germany for some fun CX racing. Looking forward to it!
