Training Camp Barcelona.

At home since a couple of days. We had a super time at Oscar Saiz hometown Terassa, just north of Barcelona. Oscar was one hell of a downhiller a few years ago and now he works a bit as tecnical coach for Giants downhill guys. He will also help us XC riders out during comming years. A few loong and great days on and of the bike and I really enjoyed it.
It´s not that easy to teach people to ride their bikes as most people just ride without thinking. I think that I am quite strong tecnically but Oscar showed a few things to think about. I can still learn a lot and I like to have new challenges.

Travelling home went good but woke with one hell of a cold saturday morning. First time in a few years I get sick and I really hate it… I have rested for 3 days and I am climbing the walls at home… Not stressing about loosing a couple of days training. Take advantage of being able to relax with family and catch up with other things that I have to do.

Check out www.oscarsaiz.com for more info about his camps etc. Really cool guy and you will not regret having him teach you about riding your bike.

Cheers/ E

Life…

Read on the internet this morning that fellow mtbiker Martin Bratland, Team United-bakeries, Norway past away after suffering from a brain tumor. At just 30 years old he dies way to early.
I got to know Martin a few years ago while racing in Norway. He had a smile on his face and was always giving it full gas.

Life is not always easy…

CX-win in Jönköping!

The winter is starting to shine in Sweden. We got about 15cm of snow the night to saturday and that made the 9th round of Merida-Northwave CX-series rather cold and slippery.
The course was more like a MTB-course and I enjoyed riding motocross style with one foot out in the corners. I made my self a gap on the first lap, pushed hard for 2 laps and from that point I could back of and riding safe. I thought I had a flat tire halfway and later after the race I saw that I must have suffered from a slow leak.
I am now in the lead of the series with a good advantage over Jens Westergren, Falu CK.
Next up I will travel to Barcelona, Spain. I leave tomorrow morning and I will spend 5 days together with my team mates in Rabobank-Giant Offroad team. We will train together with former DH-pro Oscar Saiz, www.oscaarsaiz.com Will be great to spend some time on the Anthem…
