Back home in Sweden again after a nice ending to the MTB-season in France. I had a ok race in the classic race sunday but lacked a bit of speed in the middle part of the race and lost contact with the front group of 5 riders. Together with team mate Henk Jaap I rode the rest of the race and I finished 6th and Henk 8th and winning the U23 race! Happy for him and great riding together.
Going in to this season my goal was a bit higher than the outcome of the year. I was hoping to race a bit better than I have done. The hand injury took a lot of energy and it also made me loose a lot of self confidence.
Normally at this time of the year I am a bit tired of racing. This year I will try someting different than previous years and I will continue training and racing cycle cross at home in Sweden until beginning of december. In december I will taake a break from biking and relax. I enjoy CX-racing and I really look forward to some fun riding.

One of the most fun marathon races today. Roc Marathon was truly rocking! I had a super fun time, riding in the second group most of the race. Sauser and Kass where up front hammering and we had no chance to following them. I could have used one more feeding zone and ran out of water for a bit to long and had to let the group go with 30min to go. Was still feeling pretty good riding in 7th towards the finish when 3 guys past me in the headwind =( Finishing 10th.
My first marathon here and for sure not the last. Super fun!
Now resting, sponsors meetings and fun with the team and then full gas on the Roc Classic sunday. Looking forward to it!

The most flat race of the year is done! Gieten is a classic mtb race in Holland with about 2000 starters doing 2 laps of 27kms. A total of 54kms and I guess it´s about 20 metres of climbing per lap, tops! I had a good day in the saddle trying to control the race the best way possible. With about 5kms to go we where still a big group and I knew that we had to attack and try to make the group smaller. I was going full gas and team mate Henk-Jaap was on my wheel. We rode as hard as we could and stretched out the group. Henk got 2nd in the sprint and I was riding with sore legs over the line in 5th place.
A bit unusual kind of racing these races, but fun in one way. I will stay down europe a few more days and racing in France next week. Marathon friday and the classic roc d´azur on sunday.
