Back home!

The roadtrip down Europe has comed to an end and we are back home in Sweden again. It has been a nice 10 days driving around meeting friends and racing. I had a great time and raced really good and brought home 2 second places in the bundesliga held in Saalhausen. After that I took the win in the Belgacom series in Beringen, Belgium.

I am enjoying the good moments and looking forward to do the last MTB races of the season. Next up will be Netherlands on sunday and then of to France for the classic Roc d´azur.

Shimanoliga Denmark!

I won the last race of the Danish national series held in Rold Skov yesterday. I was riding alone up front more or less the whole race but got company from Danish Champion Klaus Nielsen at the last half lap. I didn´t see him coming due to a lot of lapped riders along the course. It was all down to a sprint finish, in which I walked away with the win.

Next up on the calendar will be a road trip down Europe by car for Saalhausen and Genk.

Worlds!

I had a solid race at todays worlds in Canada. After about 2 hours of suffering I finished 19th. I had good sensations and rode smart. With 2 laps to go I had about 20sec up to 14th, tried to close that gap but all I got was biog cramps. I had to take it easy for a while and managed to finish the race without any major problem.

I am happy to finish a problematic season with a good result. This year has been far from what I was hoping in the beginning of the year. When I broke my hand in Houffalize in may I lost a lot of self confidence and the results have been rather up and down.

A big thank you for all the support I got; you all know who you are! This result makes it a lot easier to go into the winter period with the head high. I said before this year that I wanted to race in the top 10. It hasn´t happened but I go for it next year.

All for now/ Emil
