Time for takeoff. World champs starts Tuesday with team relay and we will take part with the same team as we had when winning the European relay earlier this year. The relay is always very open, and as the course change so can the results do. All riders feel comfortable a the course so we are really looking forward.
At 14.30 local time (Sweden 06.30) we start.
The XC is held Saturday at 14.00.
The days has been good. I am feeling happy, motivated and hungry. So let´s begin racing!
Take care/ Emil
In Canberra since a couple of days. First day shorts and teeshirt and day after winter clothing. The place is rather quiet and we live about 30 min by bike from the course. Until now training have been very easy with a few rides to get to know the area. We were up to Mont Stromlo yeasterday and as it looks the course is quite slippery with a hard packed surface and loose gravel on top. The race is held in a bikepark and most of the track is man made.
The flights to get here went well but time difference is always a problem. I have been rather dead but starting to get into things as the days goes by.

6th in todays Cykelvasan, the biggest marathon in Sweden. Made a mistake while leading the front group at the first singletrack of the race. Punctured my rear wheel and had to stop and change. I lost way to much time and was down at 30th or something like that. Made my way up to 6th and had good legs. A super fast course with an average of 33kms for winner Matthias Wengelin. Happy that I caught most of the other riders, but unhappy about not being able to ride for the victory. This was the first time for this race and it was about 1850 starters. I am sure that this race will become a big classic and I think within a short future also the worlds best Marathon riders will start.
Next up Australia.
